The decision means that DPL would miss a single Nepalese calendar year. The DPL will now run from October 24 to November 7.

While the Nepal team will play Oman and the U.S. In the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 Tri-Series from Wednesday, he will also participate in the ACC East Region Asia Cup20 Qualifier five days after the tournament closes on February 12.

Shortly after the Twenty20 Qualifier, Nepalese cricketers will get involved in the Everest Premier League Twenty20, which will begin from 14-28 March. After the EPL, the national team is also scheduled to take part in matches outside League 2.

DPL is the first Twenty20 competition franchise in Nepal to hold the auction of Nepalese cricketers.

DPL: Dhangadhi Premier League Live Stream

Dhangadhi Premier League also known as DPL is a franchise-based T20 cricket tournament held annually in Dhangadhi, Kailali, Nepal. DPL Live Streaming is sanctioned by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the world’s governing body for cricket. The cricketers of the Nepal national team, several international teams, as well as young and experienced Nepalese cricketers, take part in the event.

The tournament has played an integral role in the development of cricket in Province 7, has marked a trend in the commercialization, professionalization, and decentralization of cricket in Nepal and has been a source of high economic activity for the city of Dhangadhi. Likewise, the tournament is being used to generate funds for the construction of the proposed Fapla International Cricket Ground, a modern cricket stadium in Fapla, Dhangadhi.

DPL League History

DPL’s organizing team first ventured to cricket in 2010 by hosting SPA Cup, an inter-university cricket tournament. The second edition of the SPA Cup was held in 2011, in which universities from all over Nepal participated in the tournament. By 2013, SPA Cup had become a cricket tournament that offered the highest cash prize in Nepal. Numerous national players represented several universities. DPL had become a melting pot of domestic players and college students.

Meanwhile, the same team through Dhangadhi Cricket Academy (DCA) hosted the Dhangadhi Cricket League (DCL), a cross-club cricket tournament in 2013 and 2015. In 2016, the team hosted the 3rd edition of DCL, which was a historic tournament in Nepalese cricket as it was the first franchise-and-auction-based cricket tournament to be held in Nepal!

In 2017 we merged the two tournaments: Dhangadhi Cricket League and SSP Cup to form a significant tournament: Dhangadhi Premier League, a T20 cricket tournament based on an auction and a city franchise. The second edition of DPL held in 2018 saw foreign players enter.
