In IPL 2020, Rajasthan Royals registered the highest run chase of 226 runs, set by Punjab Kings. KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal centuries helped to team to achieve this feat.

Rajasthan Royals responded by batting brilliantly and successfully chasing the score in 19.3 overs. The Royals’ hitting was paced by Sanju Samson, who drove in 85 runs on just 42 balls.

 

  1. Mumbai Indians – 219

The Chennai Super Kings set a target of 219 runs for the Mumbai Indians to reach in a league match of the IPL 2021. Ambati Rayudu, of the Chennai Super Kings, scored 72 runs off of 27 balls and was the team’s top hitter.

In reply, Kieron Pollard smashed 87 runs off of only 34 balls to help his team win in the last over. After his brilliant knock that ultimately won the game for Mumbai, he was named the man of the match. Till now, this was MI’s best run chase in the IPL.

 

  1. Rajasthan Royals – 217

Both the greatest run chase and the first chase of 200+ runs in IPL history occurred here. The Royals were given a goal of 215 by the Deccan Chargers. Andrew Symonds hit 117 runs to lead the way for Rajasthan Royals and post a massive total.

The Rajasthan Royals responded by reaching the objective on the last ball of their innings. The Royals reached their target of 217 runs on the penultimate ball of their chase, thanks in large part to Yusuf Pathan’s 61 runs off 28 balls.

In the 2017 Indian Premier League, the Gujrat Lions scored a massive total of 208 runs against the Delhi Daredevils. The Gujrat Lions’ large total was largely due to the huge innings played by Dinesh Karthik (65 runs) and Suresh Raina (77 runs).

In response, Delhi Daredevils reached the goal in the 17th over thanks to the aggressive batting of Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pants. Rishabh Pant’s 97-run explosion earned him the match’s most valuable player award.

Wriddhiman Saha and Glenn Maxwell both had brilliant innings as the Kings XI Punjab chased down the mark in the 18th over. Wriddhiman Saha won the Man of the Match award after scoring 54 runs in just 26 balls.

In IPL 2022, CSK’s Shivam Dube was a major reason for the team’s success. In a match against Chennai Super Kings, he scored 49 runs, one of his best performances. Hence, Chennai Super Kings scored a massive total of 210.

In their reply, Lucknow Super Giants were able to draw within striking distance because of the outstanding batting of Evin Lewis in the last over. Ewin Lewis was named man of the match after scoring 55 runs off of only 23 balls.

In 2012 Chris Gayle has the best IPL season of his career. In a high-scoring encounter against the Chennai Super Kings, he helped RCB record a large total of 205 runs by hitting 68 runs on 35 balls.

In response, Chennai Super Kings made a desperate attempt to score with the final ball. Both MS Dhoni (41) and Faf Du Plessis (71) were instrumental in Chennai’s innings. The run chase by CSK was the best in the Indian Premier League in 2012.

In the league stage of IPL 2022, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored a massive total of 205 runs against Punjab Kings. The top two scorers were Faf Du Plessis (88 runs) and Virat Kohli (41).

In response, Punjab Kings were able to score thanks to the efforts of Mayank Agarwal and Shikhar Dhawan. Odean Smith, though, was named the game’s MVP after scoring 25 runs in just 8 balls.

Mayank Agarwal and Shikhar Dhawan aided Punjab Kings in their comeback by scoring the winning runs. Odean Smith, who scored 25 runs in just 8 balls won the Man of the Match award.

Chennai Super Kings scored a massive total of 206 runs in 20 overs during the 2014 Indian Premier League. The CSK innings were led in scoring by Brendon McCullum and Dwayne Smith. They both put up similar numbers of runs (67 and 66).

Kings XI Punjab chased down the target and succeeded in the 19th over of the game. With 95 runs, Glenn Maxwell was the game’s hero.
