  1. Punjab Kings – 44 %

With a victory percentage of only 44% in the IPL, Punjab Kings is among the most unsuccessful teams ever. Being a new team to the IPL in 2008, they got off to a blazing fast start, winning 10 of their first 15 games (a 66 percent winning ratio), but they eventually fizzled out.

In 2014, they had their second-best season ever, finishing just behind the champions. They had a 70% winning rate, winning 12 of 17 games. In 2015, Punjab King had a 27% victory rate, which was their worst ever. Punjab Kings’ subsequent seasons were unremarkable, as they never again finished in a playoff position.

  1. Delhi Capitals – 44 %

After Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals has the poorest winning percentage (44%) in the Indian Premier League. To get to that mark, they have to win 100 of 224 possible games between now and 2022.

They got off to a great start in the IPL, much like the Punjab Kings did, by reaching the semifinals in their inaugural season (2008–09). After that, though, they go on a downward spiral, winning their fewest games ever in 2011, 2013, and 2014.

Delhi Capitals (DC) has had several successful seasons in the past, including a first-place result in 2021, a third-place finish in 2020, and a second-place finish in 2019.

  1. Royal Challengers Bangalore – 47%

Royal Challengers Bangalore is renowned as the IPL’s chokers due to their inability to close off games. Despite making it to five IPL playoffs and three IPL finals, they have never won either.

Nonetheless, they are backed by some of the IPL’s most lethal batsmen. Even still, RCB is the third-worst-performing team in IPL history. They are eighth on the list of clubs with the highest victory percentage, at 47%.

  1. Sunrisers Hyderabad – 48 %

After joining the IPL for the first time in 2013, Sunrisers quickly rose to prominence as one of the league’s top teams. They have won 48% of their matches overall in the IPL.

They got off to a terrific start in the league but have since seen their victory % drop. SRH’s lowest-ever season was 2021 when they won just 21 percent of their games and lost 11 of 14.

  1. Kolkata Knight Riders – 50%

Kolkata Knight Riders had a successful IPL career, reaching the playoffs 4 times and the final thrice (2012,2014, and 2021). They won two IPL titles (2012 and 2014) under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir. KKR had an excellent win percentage of 50 percent in IPL. They finished 3rd, 4th, and 5th on the table for the majority of the seasons.
