Grant Bradburn Named as Pakistan Head Coach for 2 Years

Grant Bradburn is named the head coach of the Pakistan cricket team before the Asia Cup and World Cup 2023. Bradburn, who served as the Pakistan cricket team’s mentor, has been given a two-year contract as head coach by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

This information was informed in a press release of PCB on Saturday (May 13). It is said that Grant Bradburn has been appointed as the head coach of the Pakistan Men’s National Team through a robust recruitment process. They will lead the team’s coaching panel for the next two years.

Pakistan played the recently concluded series against New Zealand at home on the advice of former New Zealand cricketer and coach Bradburn. Pakistan led by Babar Azam won the five-match ODI series 4-1. In addition, the five-match T20 series ended 2-2.

“After a rigorous process, Grant Bradburn has been selected as the head coach of the Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team,” PCB said in a statement on the appointment of the coach. Bradburn will serve as the team’s head coach for the next two years. Bradburn acted as head coach of the team in the recently concluded home series against New Zealand on advice.”

PCB Chairman Najam Shetty said, “Bradburn joins with a wealth of coaching experience. He has worked with our men’s team before and in the NCA. He understands our culture and philosophy of cricket well and is an ideal candidate to take our team forward.”

Grant Bradburn on his appointment as head coach from consultant said, “It is a great honor to work with a team as talented and skilled as Pakistan as head coach. We are committed to working together for the continuous improvement of the players and the team, to win big events.”
