PAK vs NZ 2023: Babar Azam Played His 100th T20I Match

Babar Azam, who leads Pakistan in all formats, completed his 100th T20I match with a win. Pakistan beat New Zealand in the first T20I by 88 runs and lead the series by 1-0.

Babar Azam lead Pakistan against New Zealand in the first Twenty20 International (T20I) match of the five-match series tonight. In 2016, Babar played his first T20I against England. He quickly became an important part of the national team in the smallest version.

Because of how well he did in T20Is, he replaced India’s star batsman Virat Kohli as the best batsman in 2018 and stayed on top for the longest time (1155 days). After Sarfaraz Ahmed was fired as captain for all types of cricket, Babar was put in charge of Pakistan’s T20I team.

Pakistan played in the semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 and the finals of the Asia Cup 2022 and T20 World Cup 2022 while he was captain. Babar Azam has made 3355 runs in 99 T20Is, which is the most for Pakistan. His average is 41.41. So far in his career, he has made 30 fifties and 200 runs.

Babar Azam will be back on the national team for the first T20I against New Zealand today. The star bowler was given a break for the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan.
