Zulfiqar Babar claimed consecutive 10-wicket haul to gives Southern Punjab victory
Pakistan’s Left-arm spinner Zulfiqar Babar claimed 10-wicket haul in the match when Southern Punjab defeated Balochistan by 101 runs on the third day of the three-day Quaid-e-Azam Trophy that was played at Dring Stadium in Bahawalpur on Sunday.
The former test player who is also a mentor to the team followed his six-by-four-four-by-45 to fire Balochistan by 109 in his second inning.
Chasing 211 to win the match, Baluchistan resumed his second innings in five for the loss of no wickets on the third day. In addition to Zulfiqar, Mohammad Irfan Jr took five wickets for 37-runs for the winning team.

Zulfiqar previously taken ten wickets against Central Punjab in his first-round match played at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad which ended in a draw.
The match between Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ended in a draw after Sindh chasing a target of 295 on the last day, only scoring 129 for three in 63 overs. Ramiz Raja Jr scored with 61 undefeated 238 balls.
Early in the day, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa declared his second inning in 203 for the loss of nine wickets in 66.3 overs.
Another match in the second round of the non-first class Quaid-e-Azam Trophy tournament took place between Central Punjab and Northern at Mirpur Cricket Stadium.
Central Punjab resumed its first innings on the third day at 103 for two scored 269 for eight in 83 overs – courtesy of Ali Zaryab 75 and 64 unbeaten Bilawal Iqbal balls, which included two fours and six others.
In return, Northern was in 90 for the loss of four wickets when the match declared tied.
At the end of the second round, Southern Punjab led the points table with nine points with a two-game win. Northern is placed in second place with six points. Central Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are placed in third, fourth and fifth positions, respectively, with three points each. Meanwhile, Balochistan is placed sixth without points.
