Zimbabwe tours of Pakistan in October 2020

Zimbabwe cricket team tours of Pakistan is expected in October 2020. The Zimbabwe Cricket Board (ZCB) has started trying to tour Pakistan. They have sought permission from the government for this. This was stated by Darlington Mazanga, Communications Manager of ZC. He said they were waiting for permission from the Zimbabwean government to visit Pakistan.

The five-match T20 series between Zimbabwe and Afghanistan scheduled for this month has been postponed due to coronavirus. As the Corona outbreak escalated, the Zimbabwean government did not allow a series against the Afghans on home soil.

“As you are aware, we have appealed to the government to take the series against Afghanistan in a bio-security environment, but the government has advised not to hold the series due to the rising number of coronavirus cases in Zimbabwe,” Mazanga told local media.

He added, “However, the JDC is seeking clearance from the government for its visit to Pakistan next October. Talks are going on about the visit to Pakistan, but everything depends on the approval of the government.

The Zimbabwean team is scheduled to play three ODIs and a T20 series in Pakistan in October this year. The ODI series will be part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League. It started with the England-Ireland series on July 30 in Southampton.
