1. In the event of a draw or tie in the final of the Test Championship, India and New Zealand will be declared joint champions by the ICC.
2. Even if a reserve day is kept, it cannot be used for match-fixing in extra time in the style of tie-breaker or football.
3. If due to natural or any other reason the quota of net playing time cannot be fulfilled, only then the match will be played on reserve day or sixth day. Net playing time is the minimum time set by the ICC. The ICC has set a total of 30 hours of net playing time of 6 hours in five days.
4. For example, if one hour of the game is lost due to rain or bad light on any one day of the match, and if that deficiency is rectified within five days, then the match will not be played on the reserve day.
