We Corrected a few mistakes made in 2nd T20I, Says Quinton De Kock
De Kock had said in the toss that South Africa team corrected some mistakes they made in the previous match that led to an eight-wicket defeat. He thinks they’ve achieved that. “We fixed one or two things of our mistakes in the last match. Our intensity in the field has also been excellent,” he said.
South African captain Quinton de Kock was a compliment to Beuran Hendricks after the Proteas’ nine-wicket victory over India in the third T20I. Hendricks was the man of the match by his figures of 2/14, as South Africa restricted India to 134/9 and then chased the target with more than three overs to spare.
Quinton de Kock said at the post-match performance that I think we kept it nice and simple.
“He focused on hitting a good length. Our spinners also kept it tight. Beuran played very well, and he has the skills. Sometimes it’s better in these wickets to slow down.”
De Kock was also the man of the series for his efforts with the bat. The wicket-keeper, who was chosen as skipper in place of Faf du Plessis at the start of the series, scored 52 in the second T20I and was undefeated with 79 in the third.
