Watch Tim Paine DRS Blunders in Fifth Ashes Test
On the third day of the fifth Ashes Test at The Oval, Australian skipper Tim Paine chose not to dismiss two decisions that would have been overturned and delivered centrepieces as England piled on and extended their lead over the record-breaking ground. Here below we have mentioned the DRS Blunders made by Tim Paine in fifth Ashes Test.
Paine struggled with the DRS during the current series, which became the star in the spectacular finals of the Headingley Test, where he spoiled Australia’s latest review before Nathan Lyon had the furious Ben Stokes out of the book if the visitor’s av were saved their examination earlier.
Paine also had difficulties with the Decision Review System (DRS) and his problems continued at the Oval with two non-referrals that would have claimed the wickets of Joe Denly when he was on 54 and Jos Buttler for 19.
Denly then scored 94 runs after Mitch Marsh appeared to have trapped him lbw and Buttler 47, despite a confident call from Nathan Lyon when he hit him on the skates in front of the stumps.
Two big moments missed for Australia! How costly will these be towards Australia chasing a fourth innings target? 😔
