Wahab Riaz Talks About His Dream

The left arm fast bowler Wahab Riaz, who was surprisingly included in the Pakistan team for the ICC 2019 Cricket World Cup at the last moment, talks about his dream that the Inzamam-ul-Haq had come in his dream to inform him that he is selected for the world cup 2019.

Wahab Riaz told the media, one day after his induction in the last team of Pakistan, that “Inzi Bhai came in my dream a few days ago, calling me and telling me that Wahab is your last chance, you will play the World Cup. ” He also stated that he was optimistic and ready for the next World Cup, even after not having been included in the initial team of 23 members, his father wishing him to participate in the tournament.

The left arm bowler said: “it was upsetting to not have been qualified for the preliminary team of the World Cup, but I never gave up. I always thought my efforts would bear fruit.  There are pressures and expectations. I’ve been out of the team for the last couple of years and I’ve worked hard. I will try to meet everyone’s expectations.”

Inzamam-ul-Haq, also stated that Wahab was among the last 15 because of his experience and ability to perform a reverse swing.  Wahab was included in the Pakistan World Cup team with Mohammad Amir and Asif Ali. The trio replaced Faheem Ashraf, Junaid Khan and Abid Ali for the World Cup 2019.
