Trinbago Knight Riders Appointed Imran Jan as their Head Coach in CPL 2021

The Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) have appointed Imran Jan as their head coach for the 2021 Caribbean Premier League CPL. Coach Brendon McCullum will not be in this year’s edition due to personal reasons and Covid-19 restrictions.

Defending CPL champions Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) said in a statement,

“Coach Brendon McCullum will not be in the 2021 edition of the CPL due to personal reasons and a travel ban related to Covid-19. As a result, the TKR franchise has appointed Imran Jan as its head coach.

Imran Jan, 42, is a former opening batsman for Trinbago and Tobago and the West Indies. Was also in the role of off-spin. He has also been the assistant coach of TKR (formerly Trinbago and Tobago Red Steel) since the tournament started in 2013.

West Indies leg-spinner Dinanath Ramnarine has joined the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR), support staff, as a consultant. Ramnarine, who previously served as president of the West Indies Players Association (WIPA) and chairman of the sports company Trinbago and Tobago (Sporty). He represented the Windies in 12 Tests and four ODIs between 1996 and 2002.

The Tringbago Knight Riders will take on Guyana Amazon Warriors in their first match of CPL 2021 Live Streaming.
