The 14th edition of IPL in April 2021
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will host the England cricket team on home soil in February 2021. The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League IPL 2021 will be held in April 2021 at the end of the series.
BCCI president and former captain Sourav Ganguly himself told Indian media on Saturday (August 22nd). Ganguly also said that the BCCI has already made plans for the upcoming domestic season.
He said the BCCI plans to launch the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy from November 19 this year and the Ranji Trophy from December 13. But the government needs a green signal to start domestic cricket. The BCCI is trying that.
In a recent letter to board members and presidents and secretaries of various state associations, Ganguly wrote, ‘The men’s cricket team will tour Australia in December this year. Kohli’s side will return home after the tour of Australia to play a series against England on home soil in February. Then there will be the 14th edition of IPL.
On domestic cricket, Ganguly said, “The domestic cricket season will start with the permission of the government. The BCCI is doing its best to ensure this. The health of the players and those involved in domestic cricket is very important to the BCCI.
World cricket has been stagnant since March due to Corona. All cricket events are also closed in India. The 13th edition of the IPL was scheduled to start on March 29. However, due to the corona, it has been delayed for six months and is starting in the United Arab Emirates from September 19.
