Sri Lanka to Host all the Matches of the Series Against India at the Same Venue
If all goes well, the Sri Lanka-India series will be played in July. India will leave for Sri Lanka in the first week of July to play three ODIs and three T20I matches. Due to the coronavirus, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board has decided to host all the matches of the series at the same venue.
Arjuna de Silva, chairman of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board’s administrative committee, told the media that all matches would be held at the same venue. He said all the matches in the series would be played in Colombo because of Kovid.
India will leave for Sri Lanka in the first week of July. They will be allowed to play the match by observing the mandatory seven-day quarantine there.
Meanwhile, as in the previous series, the spectators do not have the opportunity to enter the field. Arjuna de Silva said, There is no opportunity for spectators to enter the field in this series. It will be organized in the same way as the rest of the series. Corona situation is not stable yet
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be in England for the series against England at the same time. So India will take the field against Sri Lanka with the second-row team. Rahul Dravid can be seen as the head coach of India in that series. The two teams will meet in the first ODI of the series on July 14.
