Sri Lanka Announced Squad for the ODI & T20 Series 2021 Against India

The Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) has announced the squad for the home series ODI and T20 2021 against India. Rajapaksa, who was fined for breaking the contract, has returned to the team. Former captain Kushal Perera has also been dropped from the England squad. There are also three cricketers convicted of breaking the bio-bubble.

Two new faces Lahiru Udara and Ishan Jayaratne have been called up for the series at home. Lahiru Kumara and Kasun Rajita have also returned from injuries. Former captain Kushal Perera has been ruled out of the series against India due to injury.

Also, Niroshan Dickwella, Dhanushka Gunathilaka, and Kushal Mendis, who are facing major penalties for breaking the bio-bubble during the England tour, were left out of the India squad. Dasun Shanaka will lead Sri Lanka in the home series against India and Dhananjaya de Silva will be his assistant.
