Shoaib Akhtar inspire Akhtar Shah as Under-19 Asia Cup looms
Pakistan’s fast under-19 bowler-player Akhtar Shah revealed that former Pakistani fast pace bowler Shoaib Akhtar is his inspiration. Akhtar inspire Akhtar Shah while sharing his thoughts in a video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Akhtar Shah said he is following the Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar closely throughout his fledgeling career.

I’ve been following Shoaib Akhtar closely since the moment I started playing cricket and wanted to become a fast bowler like him. First I played tape-ball and then hard-ball cricket. I’m glad my hard work paid dividends and was able to represent the Pakistan U19 team.
The young bowler added: “I’m interested in representing Pakistan in trial cricket in the future.”
Shah impressed everyone with his bowling alley when he claimed 4-19 in 9.3 overs, against Sri Lanka at Hambantota during a Youth ODI, which led Pakistan under-19 stake to a five-wicket victory over the home team.
The Pakistan team’s preparations for the 50-match tournament of the Asian Cup U19 of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) ended on 2 September at Karachi National Stadium. The tournament will play in Sri Lanka from 5 to 14 September 2019, where Pakistan will be in Group A along with India, Afghanistan and Kuwait. The Green Men will depart for Colombo on Tuesday, September 3.
