Shan Masood regret the absence of Hafeez, Wahab
Southern Punjab’s Skipper Shan Masood, speaking at a press conference at Gaddafi stadium in Lahore on Friday, stated that the absence of veteran players such as Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Hafeez was a significant setback.
The first match, though, believed his team was still active, even with the absence of the highest-ranked players.
“The absence of Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Hafeez is a major setback. We have a very strong unit. We’ll have to make some tough decisions about whom to play with and whom to the bank,” Masood said. I was part of two department teams that closed. But we need to see if we want to play quality cricket or quantity cricket.”
The initial batsman believed that the Kookaburra ball, which expected to use in the tournament, will put the reverse swing on the line.
“The Kookaburra ball will reverse the swing more. We have an incredible bowling lineup that includes players like Mohammad Abbas and Rahat Ali. The weather is Lahore is very hot. We’re going in with two spinners,” he said. “The final decision to made after looking at the field”.
The first match stated that he was dissatisfied with his domestic performance and would strive to score more hundreds.
“I have gained ten centuries in domestic cricket, which is very low. Nine innings finished in the nineties. I’ll try not to get caught up in the nervous nineties and win more hundreds,” Shan concluded.
The captain of Central Punjab, Babar Azam, also speak at the press conference and state that any decision made by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding the captaincy of the Test is acceptable.
The prolific hitter claimed he was not under pressure leading a team boasting high-ranking players in his ranks.
“A new first-class structure introduced, and players can’t wait to be a part of it.” We are hopeful that this will bring about a change in cricket in Pakistan. It’ll take a little time to adjust to four-day cricket,” Babar said. I’m not under pressure captaining the team with the presence of older players. Any decision made by the PCB regarding the captaincy would be acceptable.”
