Shakib Al Hasan, who is on a one-year ban, has only two months left in his sentence. If all goes well, Shakib’s ban will end on October 29. Shakib could be seen in the first edition of the Lankan Premier League LPL when the ban is lifted. The first edition of LPL will start next November. The franchises will surely be looking to take Shakib Al Hasan, who has dominated the T20 franchise league all over the world, in this league.

The Sri Lankan Cricket Board had earlier organized a franchise T20 league called SLPL. Due to various reasons, this event was not held at the end of the first event.
