Shahriar Butt made a unique record in T20 cricket
Belgium is not well known in cricket. But on Saturday, the country’s cricket team captain Shahriar Butt has made a unique record in the history of t20 cricket. The Pakistani-born batsman became the first cricketer to score fifty and a century in two matches on the same day in T20.
Shahriar first scored an unbeaten 61 off 45 balls against Luxembourg. And then he went down to play against the Czech Republic and scored an unbeaten 125 off 50 balls. And thanks to these two innings, his T20 batting average is now 132. His team has won both the matches.
Earlier, Afghanistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Shahzad had recorded two fifties in one day in T20 cricket. He was the first batsman to play two fifties in a single day in T20. And Shahriar Butt has made history by smashing his record.
