See How Much Salary Ravi Shastri taking after reappointment
As reported by Mumbai Mirror, the newly appointed Batting coach Ravi Shastri will have a 20 percent increase in Salary. It will take Ravi Shastri annual Salary package somewhere between Rs 9.5 crore and Rs 10 crore. In his previous contract, he had been drawing around 8 million rupees annually.
Ravi Shastri in August was re-elected as head coach of the Indian men’s team by the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) led by Kapil Dev. The ACC considered Shastri’s “communication and understanding skills and understanding of the team’s problems” highlighted among other candidates. Shastri, who offered a two-year contract, is expected to increase his pay.
Support staff consisting of Bharat Arun and R Sridhar are also expected to get an increase after which they will receive around 3.5 million rupees.
India’s new batting coach Vikram Rathour, who replaced Sanjay Bangar, is expected to receive about 2.5 million rupees for 3 million rupees.
“The reason I came here is the belief I had on this team, the belief that they could leave a legacy that very few teams have left and that other falling teams will try to emulate,” Shastri told BCCI.tv about his ambitions with the team.
“The next two years is to see the smooth transition that is happening. Many young people will arrive, both in white-ball settings and in tests. You must identify three or four other players to add them to the pool at the end of our mandate. My effort at the end of this term would be to leave the team in a happier space so they can establish a legacy in the future, “he added.
