Quetta vs Peshawar Qualifier Match Result PSL 2019
Toss: Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and opted to bowl first in the Qualifier match of HBL PSL 2019.
At last, the rivalry teams met again in the battle for reaching towards the finale, Quetta Gladiators showed their skills and hold the nerves till the end to win the contest. Peshawar Zalmi falls 10 runs short. This is not the first time, we have seen in all previous seasons that Quetta and Peshawar both teams provide such an amazing show and make the crowd cheer. In all previous edition matches, Quetta won by 1 run in two seasons whereas, Peshawar won by 1 run in one season.
Gladiators got some serious hits by the Windies players Darren Sammy and Kieron Pollard. They kept the hope alive for Peshawar Zalmi to get over the target. Sammy scored 46 off 21 balls and Pollard scores 44 off 22 balls but the brilliant over by Shane Watson. Watson did not bowl for almost a year and yet by his wonderful last over Quetta won the match.
21 runs required in the last 6 balls and Sarfaraz choose Watson to bowl the last final over. Conceding single of the first ball, Pollard launched massive six over midwicket to keep the momentum going. But Watson bowled Pollard on very next ball. At the very next ball trying to get on strike Sammy ran but fells short and got run out by Sarfaraz Ahmed. That is where all hopes were shattered, Quetta seals the victory by 10 runs and reached into the finals.
Chasing a gigantic target of 187 Peshawar lost half of their team. Just the power hitting by Kamran Akmal gave a gentle push. Imam also failed to deliver a good start. The teenage pacer Mohammad Hasnain took the crucial wickets of Kamran Akmal and Misbah-ul-Haq. While Ahsan Ali took the wicket of Liam Dawson. But when the top order failed to perform, the last hope for Peshawar Zalmi was on two power hitters Sammy and Pollard. Both added 83 runs partnership but fell shots of 10 runs to the victory.
Earlier from Quetta, Shane Watson showed classical batting where he empowered the rain of sixes and made 71 off 43-balls. Addition to this Ahsan Ali also smashed 46 runs off 32-ball. Umar Akmal, Sarfaraz, and Bravo helped the Quetta Gladiators to get over the target of 186 in 20 overs.

Watson was declared as the man of the match for his blistering innings and the superb last over that get Quetta over the line to qualify for the finals.
