Toss: Quetta Gladiators win the toss and elected to field in the Final of PSL 2019
PSL rivals met for the last time in PSL Season 4 in the finale of HBL PSL. Before that, in Season 3 they both played the finale in which Peshawar won by a big margin. But this time it was the revenge taken by Quetta and they won their first PSL title.
Chasing down a low total, Gladiators made it comfortably with the help of Ahmed Shahzad who scored 58 runs from 51 balls. As Peshawar had to restrict Quetta by only taking wickets and Umar Amin provided an early breakthrough by taking the wicket of Watson.
Despite losing one of the most dangerous batsmen, Quetta did not panic at all as they played cool and calm where Ahsan Ali and Ahmed Shahzad chased the total easily. Wahab Riaz brings some hopes while fighting back and removing the hard hitter Ahsan Ali by fast short-pitched delivery. Even after losing two wickets Quetta did not bother because they made a 72 run solid partnership for the third wicket partnership with Rilee Rossouw to complete the chase and winning a title.
Earlier while starting to set the target, both of the openers of Peshawar Zalmi failed to perform in when Peshawar Zalmi needed them the most. Mohammad Hasnain dismissed Imam-ul-Haq with his pace who later took three important wickets to restrict Peshawar to a low total. Kamran Akmal scored 21 runs off 14ball when Mohammad Nawaz’s loopy delivery caught him and crashed the stumps. Amin and Sohaib tried to bring back Peshawar Zalmi to track but failed, Amin scored 38runs and Sohaib scored 20runs.
After that Peshawar kept on losing the wickets as they lost 5 wickets for only 96 runs in 15 overs. The captain Darren Sammy, Kieron Pollard, and Wahab Riaz push back Peshawar Zalmi and added 42 important runs in last 5 overs. The young Mohammad Hasnain managed to take three wickets while Bravo took two wickets.

Mohammad Hasnain declared as the player of the match for his outstanding performance in the finals. He took the three most important wickets at the right time to help Quetta winning their first PSL title.
