The biggest T20 Cricket Asian tournament is on its way as the DP World Cricket Asia Cup 2022 begins from 27 August – 11 September. Initially, the tournament was supposed to be hosted by Sri Lanka, but due to the economic crisis, the tournament was shifted to the United Arab Emirates. The tournament features 13-matches including Super4s, Semi-final, and final to be played in Twenty20 format.

The Super Four stage will comprise six matches, as each of the four qualified teams will face each other three times. The stage will run from September 3 to September 9, with Afghanistan taking against Sri Lanka at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on September 3.

India’s first super four matches is scheduled to take place on September 4, and it will be against archrival Pakistan, who defeated Hong Kong by 155 runs. On September 6, India and Afghanistan will meet, then on September 7, Pakistan and Afghanistan will meet. In the meantime, India will play Afghanistan on September 8 and Sri Lanka will face Pakistan on September 9.

The Pakistani fast bowler Shahnawaz Dahani has been ruled out of today’s (April 4) Twenty20 cricket match against India in the Super 4 round of the Asia Cup. The Pakistan Cricket Board issued a press release confirming this. Due to an injury sustained while bowling in the most recent match against the Hong Kong team, he could not participate in today’s match.

The Pakistan Cricket Board stated that the Pakistan Cricket Medical Committee would evaluate his health during the next several hours before determining if he can participate in the forthcoming Asia Cup matches. The cricket match between India and Pakistan is slated to begin in Dubai at 7:30 p.m. local time.
