PCB fire Mohsin Khan after World Cup 2019 failure
PCB fire Mohsin Khan from the Cricket Committee after Pakistan’s poor cricket team show at the World Cup 2019. Last October, Khan was appointed the head of the committee to advise the Pakistan Cricket Board on all cricket-related matters in the country.
He became the first victim of the team’s bleak performance in the ongoing mega event. According to PCB’s statement, in a meeting with President Ehsan Mani, Mohsin Khan expressed his wish to be released from his current rank, which was accepted by the president. The committee, which also includes Wasim Akram, Misbah-ul-Haq and Urooj Mumtaz, will now be headed by MD Wasim Khan.
The panel will conduct a robust review of the performance of the Pakistan cricket team over the past three years before submitting its recommendations to the PCB President and BoG for consideration at the end of the 2019 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. There were also reports that Mohsin Khan could receive new responsibilities from the board after the review.
