PCB Congratulates Sana Mir Induction in ICC Women’s Committee
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) congratulates Pakistan’s women’s cricket star Sana Mir (Former Skipper).PCB praised her on her inclusion on the ICC Women’s Committee as one of the three current player representatives.
Former England player Clare Connor is still the Chairmen of the ICC Women’s Committee. PCB Managing Director Wasim Khan is also as one of the representatives of the Full Members.
Sana, the former captain of Pakistan and leader in handling roulette at Women’s ODI. She is accompanied by Australian Lisa Sthalekar and Mithali Raj of India as representatives of current players on the committee that first met in London on Thursday during the ICC Annual Conference week.

PCB President Ehsan Mani said: On behalf of PCB, I would like to congratulate Sana Mir on her inclusion in the ICC Women’s Committee. I am confident that Sana will bring great insight and knowledge to the group. Surely it will only help women’s international cricket strengthen.
Sana’s latest accomplishment will magnetize and inspire other girls. Who in turn integrates with the strategy for the growth and development of women’s cricket in Pakistan.
Sana thanked the ICC for the opportunity. It is an absolute honor to represent the current players in this elite forum and become their voice. Women’s cricket is growing around the world. And I think this is a very courageous and inclusive step on the part of the ICC for current players to participate in the promotion and development of the game.
We will be the voice of the players; we can take the committee notes and get players involved in the way the ICC plans to promote the game. It’s great to be part of this committee, says Sana Mir. And I look forward to expressing my opinions and having a positive impact on the cause of women’s cricket around the world.
