At the start of the second set, England needed 383 points to win the match. Pat Cummins somewhat dashed England’s hopes, which sidelined opener Rory Burns and Joe Root against a duck in the first round. By the end of the day, England were 18/2.
After catching Rory Burns by Head in the middle of the game, Cummins threw an absolute ripper to oust Joe Root, England’s star batsman. It is a ball of right length that holds its line and hits the top of the stump. Root had no answer as he stood at the crease, looking at the surface.
