Pakistan Vs Australia CWC19 Match 17 Result

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first in the 17th match of World Cup 2019.

Match Summary:

Australia wins the match as Pakistani middle order collapse badly and failed to give their team an important victory over Aussies. Australia beats Pakistan by 41 runs and took the second place on the points table. Warner and Finch gave Australia a stunning start to the match with an opening stand of 146 runs. Mohammad Amir then brought Pakistan back into the game with a five-wicket haul, but Australia still had 307, which ultimately proved too difficult for their opponents. Pakistan suffered a mid-range collapse that resulted in the loss of three wickets for 11 runs, but Sarfaraz Ahmed and Wahab Riaz sewed a 64 runs partnership to give them a glimmer of hope.

But Mitchell Starc had Wahab caught behind, and two balls later, Amir dragged the ball over the stumps. Glenn Maxwell ended the proceedings with a superb direct shot to get rid of Sarfaraz. Pakistan’s pursuit suffered a setback when Fakhar Zaman fell victim to a high cut from Kane Richardson in third place. Babar Azam looked sublimated, with 28 of his 30 runs before carving a deep backward leg.

Finch, an occasional spinner with a slow left arm, caught the very important Hafeez wicket on a full row, going straight to the defensive player with a deep square leg. Pat Cummins crushed Shoaib Malik with a fine shot as Pakistan turned 147-5 at one point. Australia has three wins in four matches while Pakistan has struggled so far, with only one win from four clashes.
