Pakistan Cricket Board PCB struggling to Find Suitable Foreign Head Coach

The Pakistan Cricket Board, PCB struggle a bit to find a suitable foreign head coach for Team Pakistan. The PCB recently announced and invited high-level applications for the head coaching position through August 26th, 2019.

Cricket Board officials currently divided in their view between hiring a foreigner or former Pakistani cricketer for the above-mentioned job.

According to the sources, the board has received many applications, but any big foreign name has not yet applied for the position.

The PCB is currently in talks with former New Zealand coach Mike Hessen and has also received a request from current Islamabad United coach Dean Jones. However, some board officials are against hiring either individual.

Sources further revealed that some big foreign names are not happy with the financial package offered by the PCB or have security issues.

Former Pakistani captain Misbah ul Haq also considered one of the leading candidates for the position, but junta officials are concerned about his lack of coaching experience. However, the board is still hopeful of receiving requests for high-profile names in the coming week.
