Pak vs Sri Lanka, Heavy rain in Karachi disrupts first ODI

Heavy rains in the city delayed the launch of the first ODI between Pak vs Sri Lanka on Friday. The rains began around 1: 20 pm and became heavy rains with thunderstorms later in the day.

An official of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said the launch had been delayed and that the new start time will be announced once the ground is handed over to party officials.

The release was initially scheduled for 2: 30 pm local time, with the first ball expected to be released at 3:00 pm.

However, rainwater has accumulated in the National Stadium, indicating an early start.

“There’s accumulated water, and it’s still raining. The launch time will be decided once the rain stops, the garden is cleared and when the stadium is delivered to match the officers, ” the PCB official said.

The PCB, according to sources close to the issue, will do everything possible to organize the party, even if it has to reduce some excesses.
