Nicholas Pooran scored his first century in the CPL
Wicketkeeper-batsman Nicholas Pooran scored his first century in the CPL. He hit a century off just 45 balls against the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots on Sunday to take his side Guyana to victory. Their win against St. Kitts is 6 wickets. Guyana Amazon Warriors legend has scored the first century in the current CPL.
After losing the toss, St. Kitts started batting from the beginning. Although they failed to score accordingly on the scoreboard. Joshua da Silva scored 59 off 48 balls for the team. Dinesh Ramdin remained unbeaten in an innings of 36 off 30 balls.
Chasing the target, Guyana lost 3 wickets in the top order to score 25 runs in the 6th over. Brendon King (14), Kevin Sinclair (5), and Shimron Hetmeyer (1) left each other. However, Guyana has not lost a wicket since then. Pooran remained unbeaten on 100 off 45 balls with 4 fours and 10 sixes. Ross Taylor remained unbeaten on 25 off 26 balls with great accompaniment to Pooran.
