Ramiz Raja Sarfaraz Ahmed

Former Pakistani captain Ramiz Raja endorsed the decision of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) not to renew the contract of former head coach Mickey Arthur.

While speaking on his YouTube channel, Raja emphasized the need for a new approach in terms of leadership in the future.

Ramiz Raja Said:

It’s a strong decision but the right decision. Three years is enough to judge a coach and a captain regarding their performance in pressure games, their strategy, and how they team up with other players. The team needs a change of guard and freshness in terms of ideas, so it is essential to appoint a new coach and captain.

The technical staff worked very hard with the team, but they couldn’t change the team’s fortunes in Test and One-day Internationals (ODI). The system also failed them, as they didn’t get finished products from our national cricket, so the team’s performance was inconsistent.

The 56-year-old also believes that the technical staff, despite all his efforts, did not instruct the Pakistan team. Raja also criticized the news about the banned cricketer Sharjeel Khan calling for the PCB rehabilitation program.

We’ve run out of batsmen that we have to bring back a cricketer who has embarrassed Cricket from Pakistan? We have suffered many times by bringing back the contaminated players, but we continue to welcome them just for their talent.

We should avoid being desperate and rather allow new talent to thrive.
