Nasir Hossain Likely To Face Seven Years Jail For Adultery

Bangladeshi all-rounder Nasir Hossain is Likely To Face Seven Years Jail For Adultery. A guy claimed that the batsman had married his wife unlawfully, and as a result, he has been put on trial, according to his attorneys. In February of 2021, Hossain married Tamima Sultana. Rakib Hasan, the first husband of Tamima Sultana, has launched a lawsuit against him, claiming that they are still married.

Nasir Hossain faces a sentence of seven years in prison if the allegations against him are proven true. Adultery is a crime in Bangladesh only against men, according to the country’s societal norms. It was also claimed by the attorney for the husband of Rakib that his wife faked a divorce notification so that they may wed.

Ishrat Hasan, the lawyer for Rakib, claimed that Tamima had fabricated divorce documents and mail receipts to demonstrate that she and Rakib were no longer married. Also speaking out on the case is Nasir Hossain and his wife’s attorney Farid Uddin Khan. He predicted that the evidence against Hosain would be inadmissible and that he would be found not guilty.

Adultery cases are quite rare. A lot of the time, it’s difficult to prove it. According to Khan, “We are certain that these charges will not be proven.”

Farid Uddin Khan, the lawyer for Nasir Hossain, maintains that the charges against his client cannot be proven. Bangladesh international cricketer Nasir Hossain has made more than 100 appearances. He is a competent batter in the middle order and a useful bowler. Since his debut in 2011, he’s been a key member of Bangladesh’s team in all three formats.

He has played 19 tests, 65 ODIs, and 31 T20Is, each with a total of 1044 runs, 1281 runs, and 370 runs respectively. In addition, he has 39 international wickets in various forms for the national team. In 2018, he played his final Bangladesh match.
