KL Rahul took part in the run chase of 177 runs against the Kings XI Punjab. With a score of 71 runs on 57 balls against the Indians of Mumbai to propel his team to the second victory of the season. Rahul was helped by Chris Gayle 40 runs on 24 balls and Mayank Agarwal 43 runs on just 21 balls. They provide a good partnership which leads them to victory.
Earlier, after being batting first, Mumbai Indian manages to put 176 runs for the loss of 7. Quinton de Kock made 60 runs on 39 balls and Hardik Pandya made 31 on 19 runs. Skipper Rohit Sharma made 32 runs off 18 balls. He added 51 runs for the first wicket with de Kock. Suryakumar Yadav 11 on 6 balls and Yuvraj Singh 18 on 22 balls have both taken the start, but have failed to kick off. Both players were dismissed by Murugan Ashwin, who finished with a 2-25. Kieron Pollard dropped for another low score, while Krunal Pandya scored 10 runs. Mohammad Shami and Hardus Viljoen came back with the figures 2-42 and 2-40.
