Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl first in the 30th match of IPL 2019.
Lasith Malinga took 4-31 to help the Mumbai Indians to compel the Royal Challengers Bangalore to 171-7 before a late assault of Hardik Pandya that was the cause of the seventh defeat of RCB in this IPL 2019.
Quinton de Kock, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar, Yadav and Ishan Kishan have set up a platform for attackers. Hardik arrived with Mumbai, needing 43 balls out of 27 and breaking five fours and a six to seal the match. Moeen Ali and Yuzvendra Chahal shared two wickets for the RCB.
Previously, RCB batting first the AB de Villiers and Moeen Ali scored the fifties to display 171 on the board. De Villiers added 37 and 95 runs partnerships with Parthiv Patel and Moin Ali, respectively. Kholi only manages to score eight runs.
Malinga who was mainly known for its amazing depth bowling showed his class again. He took four wickets while Jason Behrendorff and Hardik Pandya shared a wicket.
