Multan vs Peshawar Match 19 Result PSL 2019

Toss: Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and opted to bat field first in the 19th match of HBL PSL 2019.

Match Summary: Multan Sultan gave a challenging total of 172-5 with the help of Johnson Carles who scored 57 runs off 31 balls. The brilliant second wicket partnership of Charles and Vince took Sultans to 90 runs in first 10 overs. Opener got out by Umaid Asif after scoring just 18 runs. Charles scored his half-century in just 29 balls smashing four consecutive boundaries to Wahab Riaz. In 13th over Charles was bowled out by left-arm spinner Liam Dowson. Later on, Malik made 28 of 21 with two boundaries and a six giving Zalmi a good total of 172-5.

While Chasing down the target some quality bowling from Irfan and Ilyas is seen in this contest. It was not enough to halt the Zalmi openers Imam and Fletcher hitting hard in the power-play. Zalmi struggled a little bit after Imam’s departure for 39 but the Pollard presence who smashed 52 off 27 with 5 sky kissing maximums given a huge setback to the Sultans bowling lineup.

Peshawar openers provided an electrifying and attacking start to their dugout in the run-chase. Till the Imam’s departure, Imam and Amin took the total to 85. Keiron Pollard once again showed his class with his extreme hard hitting skills. Although he was dropped twice by Sultans fields-men, he kept smashing boundaries and maximums and scored an unbeaten 52 off 27. Zalmi is currently at the top of the points table with this win.

Man of the match: Pollard was declared as the man of the match award. He scores valuable 52 runs which makes the victory possible.
