Muhammad Hafeez Refutes All Group Buzzing
Mohammad Hafeez, the veteran and former captain of The Pakistan Cricket team, has said that the last few days have been very painful for him and his team, as they are under critical service following their poor performance at the 2019 ICC World Cup. Hafeez told the media at the next practice session of Lord’s Pakistan team that everyone from players to management is responsible for the team’s bad show so far and that no individual can be blamed.
“We failed collectively as a team, we couldn’t produce a team world and the individual brilliance didn’t help us. In cricket these days, you need the team’s performance and everyone’s opinion,” Hafeez said. “We can’t blame one person, everyone is responsible for not complying,” the former captain said.
However, the senior player had hoped that the team would recover, as the after-game break from India has given the team a chance to regroup before the match against South Africa. Everything is not finished for us, we are focused on our next game and we are eager to win that game. Furthermore, he said we have enough time after India’s game to reform for a mint launch. In addition, he said that he is hoping Pakistan is still alive in the tournament. He also expressed displeasure with personal attacks on players after defeats. “Commenting on cricket is something else, but dragging the players of the family and attacking them is not a good thing,” he said.
Entire Pakistani Team is responsible for the failure in World Cup 2019
In response to a question, Hafeez said that opting to bowl after winning the toss against India was a collective decision by the team. “The team’s decision cannot be made about what someone has tweeted. It was the team’s decision. We didn’t play well and that’s why we lost that game”. He also denied the rumors of team bundling saying that every time after the defeats, such conversations are on the air and there is no truth in such things. “Why don’t you talk about those things when the team is winning?” asked Hafeez.
