Moin Ali Refuses To Wear CSK Jersey With Alcohol Advertisement, IPL 2021

English all-rounder Moin Ali will play in the IPL 2021 for Chennai Super Kings. Moin Ali refuses to wear a CSK jersey and has requested to remove the Alcohol brand name from his CSK jersey as the Chennai jersey has the logo of an alcohol manufacturer. Chennai has also accepted the whims of this all-rounder.

Alcohol is forbidden in Islam. As a Muslim cricketer, Moin Ali does not drink alcohol. And he doesn’t like to encourage anyone to drink harmful things like alcohol. For which Moin Ali has requested the Chennai Super Kings authorities to remove the advertisement of alcohol from the jersey he is wearing.

The Chennai Super Kings jersey has the logo of SNJ-10000, which is a Chennai-based SNJ distillery, which is an alcoholic brand. The franchise has kept his request. And alcohol ads have been removed from Moin’s jersey. Moin practiced with the team yesterday (April 3), in a jersey that had no ads.

MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings have signed Moin Ali for Rs 6 crore from the 2021 IPL auction. This is Moin’s 2nd franchise in IPL. Earlier, the all-rounder had played for Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore three times.
