Misbah-ul-Haq urged everyone to visit Pakistan
The Sri Lankan cricket team was attacked in 2009 during a tour of Pakistan in Lahore. It rained random shots on the cricketers. The Sangakkaras survived for a short time. Pakistan cricket has been in exile for a long time since then. They were hosting home series in other countries including Dubai. Pakistan has gone through a difficult time.
However, Pakistan’s security has already improved. Misbah-ul-Haq, the head coach and selector of the Pakistan cricket team, urged everyone to visit Pakistan to save cricket in this difficult time of the coronavirus epidemic. Recently, several teams have visited there including Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Pakistan has already played three Tests and a T20 in England amid the coronavirus epidemic. The Pakistan cricket team has also received huge thanks for touring England at such a difficult time. Misbah-ul-Haq thinks that in such a difficult situation, each team should stand by each other. The former Pakistan captain also called on other countries, including England, to visit Pakistan.
“Our visit to England was important for both countries, ” he said. It was crucial for England cricket and world cricket in this difficult moment for Corona. Similarly, Pakistan deserves support from other countries. This is the right time for the cricketing world to stand by each other. ”
Prior to Mihbahar’s call, however, ECB Chairman Ian Whatmore responded positively to his call. Whatmore told British media last week, “England must visit Pakistan if there are no security concerns.”
