Not Interested in Pakistan Coaching Job, Says Mike Hesson
Former New Zealand head coach Mike Hesson is not interested in coaching the Green Shirts if a Stuff report is created. According to the reports, Mike Hesson only interested in training the Indian side because of his status as the biggest training job in the cricket world.
The report further indicated that Hesson does not apply for coaching work in Pakistan, along with Bangladesh, as he isn’t interested in taking on those tasks. Reports/Sources also said Hesson is more likely to continue his television engagements rather than opt for full-time coaching once again.
Hesson trained alongside New Zealand for six years before ending his period last year for family reasons. It should be noted that Cricket Pakistan previously reported that former Pakistani skipper Misbah ul Haq is the main contender for the vacant position of Pakistan Team head coach.
According to the sources, Misbah ul Haq is also a member of the Cricket Committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), will replace former head coach Mickey Arthur after the board decides not to renew the Pakistan Cricket Board’s contract.
Sources also stated that the new coach will appoint for a four-year term, until the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 although there will be an annual evaluation to assess the coach’s performance.
