Martin Guptill Sets a New Record of Most Sixes in T20 International Cricket 

Martin Guptill played a stormy inning of 96 off 50 balls against Australia in the second T20 of the series in Dunedin on Thursday. Where the Kiwi opener Martin Guptil hit 6 sixes and hold a new record of hitting most sixes in the T20 Internationals. Martin Guptill has surpassed Indian opener, Rohit Sharma, to hit the most sixes in T20’s to set a new world record in international Twenty20 cricket.

Previously, Rohit Sharma has hit 126 sixes in 107 matches in the International Twenty20. Martin Guptill’s 136 in just 96 matches. Guptill, who completed fifty off 26 balls, finally returned to the pavilion with regret of 3 runs. The Kiwi opener was caught by Marcus Steinis in the long-off Daniel Sams for 96 off 50 balls. He had 6 fours and 6 sixes in this devastating innings.

Martin Guptill’s 97, Williamson’s 53, and Jamie Neesham’s 45 off 16 balls in the tornado innings ended with the hosts New Zealand scoring 216 runs in the allotted 20 overs, losing six wickets.
