Lahore vs Peshawar Match 25 Result PSL 2019
Toss: Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and opted to field first in the 25th match of HBL PSL 2019.
Match Summary: Lahore Qalandars started their innings and as usual Their batting lineup fails again. All of sudden Lahore Qalandar was looking out of the sight but Haris Sohail stood right there to take his team to a reasonable total. He contributed 46 runs in 33 balls, while David Wise struck 26 of 16 balls. Umair Masood, the young debut player scored 28 of 22 balls helped Lahore Qalandar to reach the target of 124 for the loss of 7 wickets.
Chasing down a low total at almost 6 runs per overrun rate, Peshawar looks confident to win the contest. But all of sudden the drama continued when Shaheen Shah Afridi and Rahat Ali bowled destructively. Rahat Ali dismissed Kamran Akmal, Shaheen Shah dismissed 3 top order batsmen, and David Wiese dismissed Kieron Pollard.
At this stage, Peshawar scored only 20 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. 20-5, the game was in now Lahore Qalandars hands. Misbah and Sammy were at the crease hoping to stay at the wicket for a long time to contribute crucial runs on the board. Who don’t know Misbah, he always helped the international team in such pressure situations, and he knew how to handle it. The last over was such a dramatic over where it wasn’t decided who was going to bowl. Misbah played a shot at deep fine leg where the catch was dropped by Sohail Akhtar. Misbah took a single to get off the strike. Ryan ten bowled Sammy to give Lahore Qalandars a hope. But all went in vain where Zalmi won on the second last ball of the match.
Man of the Match: Misbah-Ul-Haq was declared as the player of the match. He kept his nerve till the last ball to seal the victory.
