KKR Vs SH Match 2 IPL 2019
Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and opted to Bowl First in the 2nd match of IPL 2019.
Sunrisers Hyderabad lost to Kolkata Knight Riders. Despite David Warner’s 85 runs on just 53 balls, they are unable to win the match. His efforts were not enough where Andre Russell punched unbeaten 49 of 19 balls, and Knight rider won six wickets with two remaining balls. Russell and Jill gathered an unbeatable 65-run stand, which ran 18 runs, including six victories in the match.
Piyush Chawla took the wicket of Bairstow but Warner took the charge and struck nine fours and three sixes. Vijay Shankar then knocked 40 runs off 24 balls to raise Hyderabad Sunrisers to 181 by the end of 20 overs.
In response, KKR lost Chris Lynn early when a fierce player caught on the covers by Rashid Khan. But Nitish Rana 68 runs of 47 balls and Robin Uthappa 35 runs of 27 balls made a firm position to return their side to the competition. There was a short delay in the game due to faulty spotlights, and shortly thereafter Nitish Rana fell on Rashid Khan. It was a signal to Russell to start the onslaught, and the first man on his radar was Siddhartha Kaul.
Russell smashed Kaul for two sixes in a row and a fourth in the 18th and then hit Bhuveshnar Kumar for two fours and the same number of highs in the 19th to get the KKR in anticipation of the victory.
Man of The Match:
Andrew Russell was declared as man of the match award for his amazing performance with the bat and with the bowl.
