Kieron Pollard fined for Breaching ICC Code of Conduct
Kieron Pollard, the West Indies suit, fined 20% of his match fee. Pollard received a point of merit for violating Level One of the ICC Code of Conduct in the second T20I game against India in Florida.
Pollard convicted in connection with Article2.4 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Player Support Personnel and Players’ Support personnel concerning not following the referee’s instructions.
The incident took place when the mentioned player asked for a substitute to take the field. Even though, the veteran cricketer was repeatedly instructed by the referees that an application should be made for the substitute. And he was also asked to wait for the next one to finish.
Pollard, however, did not admit the offense. As a result, there was a formal hearing held by referee Jeff Crowe. At the hearing, pollard was found to have committed the violation, and subsequent sanctions were established.
