Kieron Pollard will be the new limited-overs captain for West Indies

Kieron Pollard Becomes West Indies ODI and T20 Captain

Pollard has been announced as the West Indies’ captain for both ODI and T20 to take over the duties of Jason Holder and Carlos Brathwaite respectively. He served as captain without playing at the ODI since October 2016.

Bravo posted a photo on Instagram and wrote: “Congratulations, my friend Kieron Pollard, for his appointment as captain of the WI, you deserve it and you will be a great leader, hope that I can finally return under the colours of the WI #Champion”, according to the Legend.

Pollard made his debut at the 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup and has played 101 ODI games since. He has built a reputation as a big hitter in the shortest format of the game. The 32-year-old was part of the Caribbean T20 World Cup-winning campaign in 2012 and 2016.
