JP Duminy Slams Fastest Fifty in CPL History
JP Duminy slams the fastest fifty in the history of Caribbean Premier League (CPL) – as Barbados Tridents beat defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders by 63 points on Thursday 26 September. JP Duminy scores his half-century on just 15 balls.

JP Duminy was all over Kensington Oval in Bridgetown. His 25 balls of 65, six-four and seven-six, scored an excellent strike rate of 325 and helped Tridents score 192/5, with Johnson Charles (58 of 39) and Jonathan Carter (51 of 46) both scoring half a goal. Centuries too.

The Knight Riders were then grouped for a total of 129 in 17.4 extra points, thanks to Hayden Walsh, who came back with huge 5/19 bowling numbers, including the big wickets of Denesh Ramdin, Kieron Pollard and Jimmy Neesham.
Duminy also played an essential role in the second innings. He first took a significant strike to help Raymon Reifer sack Colin Munro, before coming back 2/24 on a 2.4 gap, including Ali Khan’s last wicket that secured Tridents’ first home win this season.

Barbados Tridents 192 for 5 (Duminy 65, Charles 58, Carter 51, Pierre 2-24) beat Trinbago Knight Riders 129 (Bravo 28, Walsh 5-19, Duminy 2-24) by 63 points.
