The U-19 team will also face India in the Asian Cup, but the wicketkeeper, however, downplayed the importance of the match.

“We’ve been practising for the last five and six months. We are preparing for each side, whether India, Afghanistan or Kuwait, our preparations remain the same. Hopefully, we’d do our best in the tournament.

Haris was confident that the U-19 team was ready and would deliver the tournament.

“This time we’re hoping we’ll show something different on the field and come back as champions,” he concluded.
