Jharkhand wants to host a farewell match for Dhoni
India’s World Cup-winning captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has retired from international cricket. In his retirement, many Rathi-Maharathis wished him farewell. Everyone was hoping that Dhoni would retire from the field. But the last ODI World Cup semi-final match was the last match of his career. This time Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren wants to host a farewell match for MS Dhoni.
On Twitter, the Chief Minister wrote, “I am requesting the Indian Cricket Board to organize Dhoni’s farewell match. Jharkhand wants to host this match.
Under Dhoni, India has won the T20 World Cup, the Champions Trophy and the ODI World Cup. He played his last international match for India against New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup. Dhoni has scored 1626 runs in 350 ODIs, 90 Tests and 98 Twenty20 matches. Standing behind the wicket, he took 629 dismissals.
