Jasprit Bumrah Ruled Out of South Africa Test Series

Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the next round of home tests series against South Africa, which should start on 2 October 2019. The Cricket Control Board of India (BCCI) announced on Tuesday that Jasprit Bumrah had suffered a minor tension fracture in the lower back. Umesh Yadav was named Bumrah’s replacement for the three-game Test series India Vs. South Africa Test Series 2019.

Umesh, who took 119 counters in 41 tests, competed in his last inspection in 2018 in Perth against Australia. In the meantime, Bumrah will be rehabilitated by the NCA in Bangalore and will be followed by the BCCI medical team. The injury means that Bumrah will now have to wait to take her first home test. In recent years, he has spearheaded India, with 62 counters on 12 tests, all far from home.

Bumrah was in a scorching form and picked up 13 wickets during two Tests in the West Indies. It included two five-pounder races and a hat trick. He was rested from the T20I series at home against South Africa, which both teams shared 1-1.
