Jasprit Bumrah Gives Credit to Virat Kohli for His Hat-trick
Jasprit Bumrah knocked out the West Indies with a thrilling, fast-paced bowling game to disassemble the hosts of Sabina Park in Jamaica. Bumrah, who finished the day with six wickets including a hat-trick, congratulated his captain Virat Kohli. Bumrah thanked Kohli for achieving the best-bowling figures and also gives Virat Kohli Credit for his Hat-trick.
Bumrah’s scalps included Darren Bravo, Shahmar Brooks and Roston Chase. Bravo caught a simple hook in the slips before an inserted inswinger from Jasprit Bumrah shook Brooks’ cushion. Referee Paul Wilson immediately raised his finger, but Brooks examined it without success.
But when the third ball returned to Chase again to hit his pads, Bumrah couldn’t appeal as he began to return to his bowling pace. However, Virat Kohli seemed convinced of the landslide region, as did Rishabh Pant.
Both players felt that the ball had not touched Roston Chase’s bat and had persuaded Jasprit Bumrah to take over the test. Tracking the ball showed three green signals and Jasprit Bumrah became the third Indian to claim a Test hat trick. The young fast pitcher after the game of the day credited the credit.
“I didn’t know. I wasn’t very sure of the call”. “I thought it was the [first] bat, so I didn’t appeal so much. But it was a good review at the end (laughs), and I think I owe the captain the hat trick”.
