Jasprit Bumrah Breaks Ravichandran Ashwin Record
Jasprit Bumrah added yet another feather to his glorious hat during the test match between the Indian national cricket team and the Caribbean team. It has become the fastest Indian bowler to reach 50 test counters in terms of deliveries. Jasprit Bumrah is India’s fastest bowler to do just as well.
Bumrah sent Darren Bravo back to the Windies’ 30th lap to record his 50th Test. He had Bravo at the aplomb in front of the wicket and, as a result, the left-hander was declared leg winner (LBW). Which helped Jasprit Bumrah unlock several discs to his name in the remarkable testing career.
Jasprit Bumrah took this step faster than Venkatesh Prasad and Mohammed Shami, who had won 13 matches each against 50 Test wickets. Bumrah is also the fastest Indian bowler at 3 milestones with Narendra Hirwani and Harbhajan Singh reaching the record number.

R Ashwin holds the record for the smallest number of matches, 50 test wickets (9). While former Indian coach Anil Kumble ranks 2nd on the list after reaching his first 50 test wickets in just 10 matches.
On the second day of the first test, India managed to score 297 points on the board. Versatile player Ravindra Jadeja played a 58-run shot and was involved in a 60-race stand with Ishant Sharma. India put in clinical performance with the ball in hand reducing Windies to 189/8 in the first innings.
The West Indies were 189-8 at the strain in their first innings, but there are 108 points left in response to India’s total of 297 points. Sharma’s first five-Wicket haul race was the major event of the day alongside Ravindra Jadeja’s class with the bat.
